Pai Love You
We are now on day 12 of our adventure, but it feels like I've been here forever. It feels like home, and an adventure all at once. And really, what more could I ask for? I'm going to muse for myself; not a whole lot. Pai is absolutely spectacular.
Here the days are long and the nights are longer. The sun shines warm and bright and nighttime is a cool relief. The people are friendly, local and expat alike. The speed of life is so relaxed and exciting at the same time, it's challenging to put into words. I feel as though I could stay here for the rest of this experience and be content. Of course I won't, because there is far too much to explore beyond this quaint and beautiful town.
Being here with my best friend has made the experience all the more perfect. We've explored narrow canyons, created "adventure documentary clips", taken care of each other, lost each other, lounged by a pool all day and encourage each other to "buy that", because here we live like Kings (on a budget). A friend of ours suggested a very fitting hostel to stay at, the Spicy Pai, which being so popular was unfortunately booked. We found a fantastic alternative, the Purple Monkey, and the atmosphere has only amplified the feeling of being at ease with life.
Relaxing, living stress free and moving at a pace truly of your own is something I believe many people should take the time for. No matter your situation, if you truly want to do something drastically different than your current routine, you can. All you need to do is be determined and work towards it. Currently, what is inspiring me the most, is a book called "You Are A Badass" by Jen Sincero, I would highly recommend it to everyone, especially those who think they don't need to/have the time to read it. You'll thank me later.
Also, if you're ever in Northern Thailand, skip Bangkok and its over-polluted, over-crowded city, come straight here and stay put.
Here, we are truly more than just alive & well.
